An undisputed Bellator heavyweight champion will be crowned on Jan. 29 from inside the Footprint Center in Phoenix. Bader is 1-2 with one no-contest in his past four fights. Beating Fedor Emelianenko in the Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix finals to win the belt, Bader has only defended it against Cheick Kongo. That bout was a no-contest. Since that fight, he has focused on the light heavyweight division. Bader lost the Bellator light heavyweight title to Vadim Nemkov and recently competed in the Light Heavyweight Grand Prix, losing to Corey Anderson in October.
Moldavsky made his Bellator debut in 2017 and is on a six-fight win streak. He beat Timothy Johnson in June to win the interim heavyweight title. That was the first time Bellator has crowned an interim champion.
