That said, this game — which will get the “College GameDay” treatment, beating out such matchups as Alabama-LSU and Ohio State-Michigan State — was originally scheduled between the Chanticleers and another ranked non-Power 5 team: the Liberty Flames. But Hugh Freeze’s team is dealing with a COVID-19 situation that made it impossible to play Jamey Chadwell’s team.
Enter BYU (9-0), which was looking for its own opponent to boost its College Football Playoff schedule. And who better to schedule than an unbeaten, top-15 team such as Coastal Carolina?

The Cougars have been absolutely dominant in 2020, made even more impressive considering Kilane Sitake had to completely rework its schedule after its original schedule was gutted as conferences moved to go with league-only schedules. No individual player has been as impressive as BYU quarterback Zach Wilson, however: The junior quarterback has completed 176 of 237 passes (73.4 percent) for 2,724 yards and 26 touchdowns to two interceptions, earning Heisman Trophy consideration in the process.
Don’t think Coastal Carolina’s 9-0 record has been a fluke though. The Chanticleers have their own stud at quarterback in Grayson McCall. The redshirt freshman has been immaculate this year, completing 117 of 174 yards (67.2 percent) for 1,747 yards and 20 touchdowns to just one interception (a 20-1 TD-INT ratio for you stat heads out there). Chadwell will need another efficient game from him if he wants to upset the visiting Cougars.
Can McCall outduel Wilson en route to a program-defining win? We can’t wait to find out.
With that, here’s everything you need to know to watch the BYU-Coastal Carolina on Saturday, including kickoff time, TV channels and more.
